| Abstract: | A recessão gengival, frequentemente associada ao tratamento ortodôntico, representa um desafio clínico que pode comprometer a saúde bucal e a estética do sorriso. O trabalho justifica- se pela necessidade de integrar as especialidades de ortodontia e periodontia para solucionar casos complexos, contribuindo para a prática clínica baseada em evidências. Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a eficácia do recobrimento radicular em um dente tracionado ortodonticamente, explorando os impactos estéticos e funcionais do procedimento. O trabalho baseia-se no relato de um caso clínico, detalhando o planejamento, execução e acompanhamento de uma cirurgia de recobrimento radicular, com observações realizadas após o procedimento. O foco está na descrição da técnica utilizada e na análise dos resultados em relação à cobertura radicular, estabilidade gengival e percepção do paciente. Este trabalho irá fornecer subsídios para ampliar o conhecimento sobre as possibilidades terapêuticas, especialmente em situações que envolvem dentes previamente tracionados ortodonticamente. Espera-se que o estudo demonstre a previsibilidade e a eficácia do recobrimento radicular em contextos específicos, além de reforçar a relevância de abordagens individualizadas e interdisciplinares na odontologia. |
