dc.description.resumo_abstractAmelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a hereditary disorder that compromises the formation of tooth enamel, resulting in aesthetic, functional, and psychosocial changes. The treatment of individuals with teeth affected by amelogenesis imperfecta should be planned to treat dentin sensitivity and restore the aesthetics and function of the teeth using effective restorative measures. The aim of this study is to report the aesthetic and functional dental rehabilitation of teeth with amelogenesis imperfecta in a child treated at the Dental Clinic of the Christus University Center. The proposed care plan for the case was the use of indirect composite resin crowns for the teeth affected by amelogenesis imperfecta. The treatment restored masticatory function, comfort, and aesthetic improvement and was the best choice, even taking into account the difficulty of managing the patient. The results showed an improvement in the child's quality of life and a significant improvement in self-esteem and motivation for oral hygiene care. It is concluded that this restorative option is feasible and effective in pediatric dentistry, provided it is associated with continuous monitoring and psychosocial support.pt_BR
