Título : REABILITAÇÃO COM COROAS INDIRETAS DE RESINA COMPOSTA EM PACIENTE COM AMELOGÊNESE IMPERFEITA: UM RELATO DE CASO

Resumen : A amelogênese imperfeita (AI) é um distúrbio hereditário que compromete a formação do esmalte dentário, resultando em alterações estéticas, funcionais e psicossociais. O tratamento de indivíduos com dentes acometidos por amelogênese imperfeita deve ser planejado para tratar a sensibilidade dentinária e reestabelecer a estética e função dos dentes, utilizando medidas restauradoras eficazes. O objetivo deste estudo é relatar a reabilitação odontológica estética e funcional em dentes com amelogênese imperfeita de uma criança atendida na Clínica Odontológica do Centro Universitário Christus. O plano de cuidado proposto para o caso foi a utilização de coroas indiretas de resina composta para os dentes acometidos pela amelogênese imperfeita. O tratamento devolveu função mastigatória, conforto e melhora estética e foi a melhor escolha, inclusive levando em consideração a dificuldade de manejo da paciente. Os resultados mostraram uma melhora na qualidade de vida da criança e uma significativa melhoria na autoestima e na motivação dos cuidados com a higiene bucal. Conclui-se que esta opção restauradora é viável e eficaz na odontopediatria, desde que associada a acompanhamento contínuo e suporte psicossocial.
