dc.description.resumo_abstractThis research analyzed the influence of institutional isomorphisms in the judgment and decision making, internationally called Judgment and Decision Making - JDM, of accountants in the evaluation of fixed assets. The perspective studied was the light of Institutional Theory, which divides the individual pressures suffered by professionals into three: coercive, normative and mimetic. For this study, a qualitative descriptive study was carried out, using a questionnaire composed of seven closed questions, which addressed the themes of fixed assets, depreciation and impairment test, adapted from the study by Haberkamp (2018), applied to 103 registered accounting professionals and assets in the CRC-CE, from March 2020 to May 2020. The results show that the institutional variables influence the JDM of the accountants analyzed and directly impact the level of judgment and decision taken, demonstrating that the three isomorphic groups made judgments and decision-making regarding the fixed assets (concept, recognition, depreciation and impairment test) in a complete and adequate manner (54%), that is, thus highlighting the greater degree of knowledge of these professionals about the accounting standards. However, the highest percentage of judgments and decision-making at the complete and regular level of the coercive isomorphism group stands out, demonstrating that the participants, who judged based on legislation and regulations, presented more assertive judgments and decision-making. However, in the case of incomplete judgment, the most prominent isomorphism was mimetic. Such index assumes that the judgments and decision making made only by the methods practiced by the referential models are not alone enough to make a complete decision and judgment.pt_BR
